The CSI 430 Laser Speed Sensor measures the turning speed on rotating equipment. It uses alaser beam in conjunction with an advanced signal processing algorithm to measure turning speed without requiring special markings on the shaft.
Readings are possible from up to 30 feet away without reflective tape or up to 100 feet away with reflective tape. The CSI 430 connects to the CSI 2130 and shines a laser beam on an exposed area of the rotor. The CSI 2130 automatically detects, displays, and incorporates turning speed into the machine measurement. This information is critical for machinery diagnostics and when establishing a new database.
